Handmade custom guitars

Electric guitars, made by hand.

It’s not you, it’s your guitar. You’ve spent years chasing a sound no off-the-shelf guitar gives you. Bull Skull builds that sound — the one that takes you back to another era.

The problem

You’ve tried everything.

  • You’ve swapped the pickups, set up the bridge, tried a thousand strings… and it still doesn’t sound the way you want.
  • Plugged in it sounds fine. But you pick it up unplugged and it says nothing.
  • You miss a guitar that vibrates against you, that feels alive before you play a note.

A Bull Skull responds to your attack, your touch, your silence. Woods dried for decades, hand-wound pickups and a real relic finish. You don’t adapt to it: it answers to you.

The method

How do we build our handcrafted guitars?

Every guitar is made by hand and is the result of twenty years perfecting a process that cares for every detail. The goal: to bring the vintage sound of the finest guitars to today.

We don’t customise or mass-produce. Handcrafted method, relic finishes and always nitrocellulose. Every guitar is one of a kind — yet it keeps the vintage essence and a sound that takes you to another era.

Built for real professional use, with a unique sound that recalls the guitars of old. In the purest vintage style. Passion and excellence in every instrument.

They’re not meant to be flipped, but to accompany the musician for a whole lifetime. Whoever connects with this sound understands why they never show up second-hand.

Every guitar starts from a selection of the finest materials — woods with an extended, long-term drying.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

We make each guitar especially for you, keeping the vintage style that characterises Bull Skull. From time to time we do limited releases.

It depends on demand and on your guitar’s specs. We take the time needed to care for every detail — roughly two or three months.

We do retro-aesthetic finishes using nitro-finish paints and colours, always applied with nitrocellulose.

Every guitar comes with a set of pickups made expressly for it, designed around its specs and the desired sound.

All guitars come with a premium gig bag or hard case, your choice.

The order is confirmed with a 30% deposit. The remaining balance is paid once the guitar is finished.

It’s inspired by the old sound and by the recordings of yesteryear. We seek the best of every era to create guitars that are powerful, inspiring and free of consensus.

The price

We don’t mass-produce, and our prices aren’t industrial either.

Every guitar is built individually, with a complete handcrafted process that defines its sound, character and coherence. It’s not an instrument for everyone, but for those who value the process as much as the result.

What players who own a Bull Skull say

★★★★★

«The best of the best. I met Vicente after a few bad experiences with luthiers. From there our relationship grew over time, with him becoming my go-to luthier… until he built my first guitar… love at first sight: feel, sound, finishes and a timbre that sounds like a guitar from the 50s… today I have sold all my brand-name guitars and I enjoy my 4 Bull Skulls like crazy, plus pedals, and waiting for one of his amps that will come someday… and of course, his incredible help during the DANA floods I will never forget. Thank you, my friend.»

«Always a 100% positive experience. A great professional, attentive to detail and with smooth communication. He always advises you paying attention to your real needs for the instrument. He services my amps and guitars. He is now building me a Model T and I cannot wait. He is already on the 20th anniversary of building amps, pedals (rare) and guitars. And as far as I know, his guitars and amps deliver tone with Los Zigarros, Los Enemigos, Elías Maro, Juan Belda, La Perra Blanco, etc.»

«We are lucky to have a luthier like this so close to home. I have already brought him a couple of guitars and in both cases the result was flawless. From the very first moment you notice the professionalism, the knowledge and the care he puts into every instrument. Beyond the excellent technical work, he always offers a warm, honest and professional treatment.»
